Wool Rugs

Wool rugs for halls, sitting rooms and the foot of the bed. Wool is warm underfoot, hard-wearing and slow to show dirt, which is why it has always suited a country house with stone floors, muddy boots and a dog.

Two are bordered wool rugs in 100% wool with a low 8mm pile, in warm taupe and duck egg blue: short enough for a busy hall or under a dining table, dense enough to lie flat. Both come as a 67 x 200 cm runner for a long hall or landing, and in four rug sizes up to 200 x 290 cm. The third is a dense wool rug with a broken stripe in soft beige, for a sitting room or bedroom.

New wool rugs shed at first; regular vacuuming reduces it over time. Pair a rug with a wool throw and a brass lamp for a room that feels warm from the floor up.
