Our Promise

Every piece we sell has to earn its place. We choose clothing, homeware and country accessories for craftsmanship, honest materials and lasting design, and we describe each product plainly so you know what you are buying.

What We Look For

Honest materials. Wool, cotton and linen, wax, leather, tweed, solid brass, enamel and timber, chosen to be used and to age well.

Timeless design. Classic forms and traditional patterns, such as tartan, herringbone, plaid and William Morris prints, rather than passing trends.

Clear information. Each product page lists the materials and sizes.

Made to be used. Practical pieces for daily life, from the village walk to the kitchen table.

On Where Things Are Made

We only describe a product as British made, or as using British wool, where the maker states it. Where a country of origin is not stated on a product page, we do not claim one.
